Background[]
Bucky spent time at the Salmon Run with his friend, Koda. Once, Bucky dared Koda to lick an iceberg. Another time, the cubs found an enormous pine nut.
Brother Bear[]
Koda first mentions Bucky when he and Kenai are riding on mammoths. He tells the story of how Bucky had dared him to lick an iceberg, since another cub had once gotten his tongue stuck to one. Later, Koda mentions how he and Bucky had found a huge pine nut. However, Kenai interrupts the story by saying that he does not care about how Koda and "Binky" had found the "world's biggest pine cone." Annoyed, Koda corrects his friend's misunderstanding.

Koda tells a story about how Bucky had once sneezed with his mouth full of walnuts.

- Joaquin Phoenix mistakenly called Bucky "Binky" while recording his lines. However, it was left in for the final film.
