Mark Mancina and Phil Collins composed the score of the 2003 film Brother Bear as well as its soundtrack and unofficial complete score. "Kenai's Ceremony" was written to represent the ceremony in which Kenai receives his totem.[1]
Parts of "Kenai's Ceremony" were used in the score "Three Brothers", which was released as part of the film's soundtrack.[2][3]

Tanana presents Kenai to the tribe, during which "Kenai's Ceremony" is heard
"Kenai's Ceremony" is heard in Brother Bear as a representation of the ceremony in which Kenai receives his totem. The score picks up immediately after the "Great Spirits" musical sequence, as the members of Kenai's tribe gather for his ceremony. It plays through Tanana's speech to the tribe as well as her presentation of Kenai's totem, the bear of love. The score swells as Tanana leads Kenai to the wall covered in the handprints of his ancestors and ends as she presents him to the tribe.
