Use[]

In the soundtracks[]

Mark Mancina and Phil Collins composed the score of the 2003 film Brother Bear as well as its soundtrack and unofficial complete score. "Northern Lights" was written to represent the scene in which Tanana implores Sitka's spirit to watch over his brothers, Kenai and Denahi.[1]

Parts of "Northern Lights" were used in the score "Three Brothers", which was released as part of the film's soundtrack.[2][3]

Tanana speaks to Sitka's spirit, during which "Northern Lights" is heard

"Northern Lights" is heard in Brother Bear as a representation of the scene in which Tanana implores Sitka's spirit to guide his brothers, Kenai and Denahi. The piece picks up immediately after Kenai and Denahi's argument. It plays over Denahi's interactions with Tanana, in which he resolves to stop Kenai from enacting revenge on the bear that had killed their brother, Sitka. The score concludes as Tanana asks Sitka's spirit to watch over his brothers.
