Biography
Brother Bear
Grizz meets Kenai, a human who had been transformed into a bear, and the two become traveling companions. At one point, they meet Muri the squirrel, who insists that Kenai must eat him. Grizz offers to eat Muri himself, which pleases Muri until he realizes Grizz's meaning and runs away. Eventually, Kenai discovers that, as a human, he had killed Grizz's brother.
Physical appearance
Grizz is a massive bear with huge limbs, broad shoulders, thick fur, and folds of skin. In some concept sketches, Grizz has brown fur, while he has black fur in others. His eyes are small and dark.
Personality and traits
Grizz is friendly and lovable.
Trivia
- Grizz was to be voiced by Michael Clarke Duncan.[1]
- The filmmakers of Brother Bear decided to replace Grizz with a bear cub named Koda to make the film have more heart. However, the team loved Grizz's design and voice so much that they reused them for the character Tug.[2]
