Cruel tapestry of fate! Cut down in the prime of life! My life snuffed out! My doom is sealed! Oblivion is calling! Go on, then. Eat me.
―Muri to Kenai[src]

Muri is a male ground squirrel.

Biography

Brother Bear

Muri is scavenging the forest for berries. During his search, he accidentally mistakes Kenai's nose for a berry and proceeds to faint from fright. Kenai revives him, only for Muri to freak out and prompt Kenai to eat him. To Muri's confusion, Kenai refuses and claims that he does not want to eat a "rat." This infuriates Muri, who explains that he is a ground squirrel and that his ancestors are delectable to bears. Even so, Kenai continually refuses to eat Muri.

When all else fails, Muri hops into Kenai's mouth and forces him to chew, only for Kenai to spit him back out at his friend Grizz's paws. Muri comments to Grizz that Kenai is strange, and Grizz agrees. He then offers to eat Muri himself, which causes Muri to flee in terror.

Personality and traits

Muri is dramatic and lacks situational awareness. He gets easily insulted and doesn't take no for an answer.
